Welcome back, Panda! · 4:08pm Aug 5th, 2016
Sleepy Panda is back, and I'm overjoyed!
Today is three years since my good friend, Sleepy Panda, registered at Fimfiction. Since then, she gained notoriety as a spammer, was banned for almost a year, and successfully appealed her ban, but more importantly has written some really great stories and drawn some fantastic art too (including my current avatar).
This story is awesome and has chapter word counts of 500, 1000, 1500, 2000… each chapter getting longer. Clever stuff. Go read it:

And if you like it, follow her for more awesome stuff.
Here's a story I pre-read, that I'd like to recommend: The Batpony Conundrum. If you like batponies, or random slice-of-life stories, give it a read. It's less than 2000 words, so won't take up much of your precious time.
Go read this:
Eeyup
It's by a very good friend of mine. It's fun, it's random, it's had less than 300 views, but those people who have read it seem to have loved it. (Seriously, take a look at the upvote/downvote ratio — very few of my stories can compete with that.) And I count myself in that group — I enjoyed reading it muchly.
Okay, so sure electric kettles are far more energy efficient, heat water faster (except maybe in countries with crappy 110V power supplies), and automatically shut themselves off when they've boiled, making them more convenient and safer, but they are not an aesthetically pleasing as old-fashioned stove-top kettles.
I've decided to add a list of some of my favourite stories by some of my favourite people to my user page.
Here it is: Favourites
I'll be rotating the stories in this list occasionally, not on any particular schedule, and probably avoiding M-rated stories.
Okay, so today I was supposed to be going to Spain with my kids for nine days. Yay!
But missed flight.
I won't go into all the details, but it's probably a combination of my own fault and misleading departures information boards at Luton airport.
So anyway, next available flight to Girona was from East Midlands Airport, so I'm chilling in Nottingham for a couple of days.
